ARLINGTON, Va. – The Marymount University women's lacrosse team defeated Elizabethtown College on Wednesday evening at Long Bridge Park, 13-8.

Senior Bridgette Stacom opened the game with her first score just 67 seconds into play, taking a pass from classmate Kelly Campbell for the goal.

Just 20 seconds later, senior Jessica Crew found the back of the net with her first goal, as she would lead the team with six on the night.

Junior Madison Davis pushed the lead to three with a free-position shot, before the Blue Jays would put their first score on the board.

However, Stacom netted two-straight scores, beginning a five-goal run for the Saints. After Campbell converted on an assist from Davis, Crew put in two free-position scores to put the Saints up, 8-1.

Campbell added one more goal in the half, as the Saints led at the break, 9-3.

Marymount outshot the Blue Jays, 17-10, in the first half, while winning in draw controls, 9-4.

Stacom and Crew got the Saints going in the second half with a goal each in the first five minutes, but Elizabethtown responded with a five-goal run to cut the Marymount lead to three, 11-8, with 8:14 to play in the game.

However, Crew closed the game out with her final two scores.

Stacom and Campbell both finished the game with four points, while Stacom had four goals and Campbell tallied two goals and two assists.

Senior Holly Reik earned her third win of the year, playing all 60 minutes in goal and making nine saves.

The Saints will begin a four-game road trip on Saturday, March 2, traveling to Stockton University; the opening draw is set for 2 p.m.
