ARLINGTON, Va. - The Marymount University men's basketball team rolled to a 75-50 victory on Tuesday night against former Capital Athletic Conference foe St. Mary's College of Maryland. 

Led by a perfect night by junior Steve Etienne with an 8-for-8 tally from the field and 2-for-2 from the free-throw line, the Saints shot an impressive 56.3 percent from the floor. 

Etienne, who finished the night with a game-high 18 points and eight rebounds, opened the scoring for the Saints with the opening layup in the game off an offensive rebound. It was the lead MU kept the entire way, as senior Ryan Albert followed with his first of 11 points to put Marymount up 4-0 in the first minute. 

Slowly and consistently, the Saints continued to grow their lead, reaching a 40-17 advantage by the half. Marymount shot 58.6 percent in the first half and commanded the boards with 21 to the Seahawks' 11. Senior Ibrahim Kamara led the way with nine points in the opening 20 minutes, while Albert and freshman Tre Dunn added eight. 

Although the Seahawks opened the second half with the first points, senior Josh Giardina kicked off the scoring for the Saints with a three-pointer to spark a nine-point run to push the team's largest lead of the game at 30. 

Marymount kept its distance the rest of the way, dropping in 35 more points in the second half to secure its fourth victory of the season.

Etienne was joined in double figures with Kamara and Albert with 12 and 11 points, respectively. Etienne added a game-high three steals and two blocks to his well-rounded statistical line. 

The Saints return to action on Monday, December 2 with another home non-conference matchup against Catholic University. Start time is set for 8 p.m., in the Converse Family Fieldhouse.
