HADDONFIELD, N.J. — Marymount Athletics saw four student-athletes earn weekly conference honors after standout performances across men's basketball, baseball, and women's lacrosse, highlighted by dominant defensive efforts and explosive offensive production to open their respective seasons.
CJ Highsmith Jr. - Men's Basketball Defensive Player of the Week
Junior center CJ Highsmith Jr. anchored the Saints' defense in a dominant week, helping power Marymount to a 2-0 finish to the regular season.
Highsmith totaled five blocks and three steals, protecting the rim and disrupting opposing offenses. He added 4.0 rebounds per game while contributing offensively with 5.0 points per game and four assists on the week, showcasing his all-around impact. This is his fourth defensive player of the week honor this season.
Anthony Farmakides - Baseball Player of the Week
Anthony Farmakides continued his scorching start at the plate, leading the Saints offensively in Marymount's doubleheader against Lycoming last weekend.
The junior went 4-for-7 on the day, blasting a double and drawing a walk to post an impressive .625 on-base percentage and .714 slugging percentage. Farmakides consistently put pressure on the defense and provided key production at the top of the lineup.
Mackenzie Morrissette - Women's Lacrosse Player of the Week
Sophomore attacker Mackenzie Morrissette made an immediate impact during the Saints' first full week of competition, helping power Marymount to a pair of victories.
Morrissette tallied five goals and eight assists for a team-best 13 points, orchestrating the offense and creating scoring opportunities throughout the week. She also added two caused turnovers, contributing on both ends of the field to help the Saints build early-season momentum.
Ava Vautour - Women's Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week
Sophomore goalkeeper Ava Vautour opened the season in impressive fashion, backstopping Marymount to a pair of victories in net.
Vautour recorded 11 saves on the week and secured her first career shutout in Saturday's win over Southern Virginia. She finished with a stellar .733 save percentage, improving to 2-0 on the young season while anchoring the Saints' defensive unit.
