Finding some serious momentum as the opening half came to a close, the Saints started to sink two buckets for every Lions' one. A 22-12 Marymount rally saw the visitors ring in halftime with a commanding 40-29 lead.
The second half saw Penn State battle back early, cutting the deficit to just four, 42-38, with still 17:00 left to play.

The Lions sunk two triples and two free throws to eventually knot the score at 50-50 with 9:18 showing. A counter from Rouse – a single tally from the charity stripe – put the Saints back on top for good.
The remaining minutes saw Marymount add an exclamation point – an absolutely oppressive 32-13 run to close the contest.
The Saints shot a solid 56.9% (29-51) from the field and an impressive 42.9% (6-14) from long range, with Stockman and Michael Anderson accounting for four of the night's six three-pointers.
