WASHINGTON — Marymount swept Gallaudet 3-0 on Wednesday, taking the sets 25-20, 25-13, 25-15 at Gallaudet Field House. The Saints finished with 39 kills and a .316 hitting percentage, compared with 33 kills and a .145 mark for Gallaudet. This performance marked a season-high hitting percentage of .316 for the team. Additionally, the Saints reached the 500 kills milestone with a total of 532 kills, including their 39 in this match.

The Saints started the opening set with kills from
Angela McKenzie and
Sabrina Schoeberlein, while Gallaudet answered early with points from Jada Zarembka, Brielle Worley and a Sirrah Wilding ace.
Braelyn Ottolini served back-to-back aces for the Saints, but Gallaudet put together a response behind Kayla Debrow, Zarembka and a block by Debrow and Zarembka. The Saints took over the next stretch with a 6-0 run that included an
Elizabeth Stackpole block, an
Ava Humphries ace, two
Alexis Bumah kills and two
Brigid Donahue kills. Gallaudet continued to trade points late, but the Saints added a run with
Emerson Aber serving and closed the set 25-20 on a Gallaudet service error.
In the second set, the Saints built the early portion with kills from
Eliana Knaub,
Emerson Aber and Schoeberlein, then won four straight points with Humphries serving behind kills by Donahue and Stackpole and a Donahue/Stackpole block. Gallaudet pushed back with a four-point run that included a Kayla Debrow ace and consecutive Brielle Worley kills, and later added three straight points on two Worley kills and a Jada Zarembka kill. After Worley recorded Gallaudet's final point, the Saints closed the set with seven straight points, getting kills from Schoeberlein, Knaub and Stackpole before two Gallaudet attack errors finished a 25-13 set win.
The Saints scored the first four points of the third set, getting two kills from McKenzie, a Gallaudet attack error and a Schoeberlein kill. Gallaudet got kills from Jada Zarembka and Kayla Debrow as the teams traded sideouts, but the Saints later added a four-point stretch on Stackpole's serve that included a Donahue kill and two Gallaudet attack errors. After Brielle Worley stopped that run, the Saints answered with a six-point surge that featured McKenzie kill, two
Emerson Aber aces, a block by Knaub and McKenzie, and another Gallaudet attack error. Gallaudet made a late push with kills from Worley, Debrow and Zarembka and a Zarembka ace, but Bumah had two late kills, including the final point, as the Saints took the set 25-15.
