MIDDLETOWN, Pa. — Marymount lost to Penn St.-Harrisburg 3-1 on Wednesday, falling 23-25, 18-25, 25-17, 21-25. The Saints finished with 44 kills and a .136 hitting percentage, compared with 50 kills and a .155 mark for Penn St.-Harrisburg. The team achieved a season-high of 75 digs in the game.

Penn St.-Harrisburg scored the first five points of the opening set, but the Saints answered with six straight behind kills from Eliana Knaub and Sabrina Schoeberlein and an Angela McKenzie block to move ahead 6-5. After Penn St.-Harrisburg tied the set and later went up 8-7, the Saints used a Knaub ace, an Elizabeth Stackpole block and a Stackpole kill to build an 11-8 lead before Schoeberlein's kill made it 12-9. Penn St.-Harrisburg came back to lead 16-14, the Saints pulled even at 16-16 and again at 18-18 on consecutive Knaub kills, but the home side scored the next four points and reached set point at 24-19. The Saints cut the deficit to 24-23 with a late stretch that included a Schoeberlein kill and a Knaub ace, but Chasya Deliazard's kill closed the set for Penn St.-Harrisburg, 25-23.

Brigid Donahue had three kills in the early exchanges, and after Penn St.-Harrisburg cut the margin to 10-9, a service error and attack error put the Saints ahead 12-9. Penn St.-Harrisburg scored five straight points to move in front 14-12, but Schoeberlein's kill, Ava Humphries' ace and another Penn St.-Harrisburg attack error gave the Saints a 15-14 lead. Penn St.-Harrisburg answered with five consecutive points for a 19-15 advantage before kills by Hailey Labonte and McKenzie helped the Saints cut it to 19-17. After the Saints got within 20-18 on a Penn St.-Harrisburg attack error, the home team scored the final five points, including three straight Mackenzy Miller aces, to take the set 25-18.

The Saints moved in front early in the third set with Renae Rohrer's ace and kills from Schoeberlein, Hailey Labonte and Knaub helping build an 11-7 lead. Penn St.-Harrisburg cut the margin to 13-11 behind a Saints attack error and a Chasya Deliazard kill, but Schoeberlein answered with a kill and the Saints added four straight points on Knaub's serve, including a Stackpole kill and block, to push the lead to 18-11. After Nicole Dos Santos served an ace to bring Penn St.-Harrisburg within 18-13, the Saints kept control with a Schoeberlein kill, a McKenzie kill and a Labonte kill. Schoeberlein closed the set with a kill from Emerson Aber, giving the Saints a 25-17 win.

The Saints traded points through the opening half of the fourth set before moving from a 12-12 tie to a 15-12 lead on a service error and two Penn St.-Harrisburg attack errors. After Penn St.-Harrisburg cut the margin to 16-15, Stackpole put down a kill and Tesia Oliva's attack error gave the Saints an 18-15 edge. Stackpole recorded a season-high of 2 solo blocks. Penn St.-Harrisburg answered with a late push, using a service ace by Mackenzy Miller and later a kill by Tesia Oliva to move ahead 20-19 before McKenzie tied the set at 20-20. From there, Penn St.-Harrisburg scored four straight points to reach 24-20, and after the Saints got one point back, Brianna Ondishin Ribon's kill closed the set 25-21.
