LYNCHBURG, Va. — Marymount lost to Lynchburg 2-1 on Saturday. The Saints put all three of their shots on goal and made seven saves while facing 22 shots.

The Saints pulled level at 1-1 in the 17th minute when
Arianna Blanco scored off
Hannah Driscoll's assist after Lynchburg had gone ahead in the fourth minute.
Mara Dufour saved a Lynchburg shot during a later attacking stretch, and
Elinda Carballo put a shot on goal in the 43rd minute before the Saints reached halftime tied 1-1.
The Saints held the 1-1 score through a Lynchburg push from 53:48 to 59:23, with Dufour making two saves during a sequence that included three corners and six shots. The Saints also kept Lynchburg off the board through another stretch from 68:41 to 75:47, but Lynchburg scored on Sammie Rogstad's penalty kick at 76:06.
Maya Reid put the Saints' late shot on frame at 78:13, and the match ended with the Saints falling 2-1.
