NEWPORT NEWS, Va. — Marymount women's soccer battled Christopher Newport University Wednesday evening. The Saints were outshot 18-4 by the Captains, who are receiving votes on the national poll, but Mara Dufour made five saves as both teams finished with shutouts to the 0-0 draw.

Mara Dufour made three saves in the opening 10 minutes as the Saints faced six Chris. Newport shots and kept the first half scoreless. The Saints generated chances later in the half, with Arianna Blanco taking three corner kicks and Eleanor Keough putting two shots toward goal. The half ended 0-0.

The Saints kept Chris. Newport off the board in the second half, with Dufour making two saves as the home side generated the bulk of the chances. The Saints created their clearest look when Nicole Alvarado put a shot on goal in the 69th minute, and Keough added a header wide in the 86th. The half ended scoreless, and the match finished 0-0.
