HARRISONBURG, Va. — Marymount (VA) defeated East. Mennonite 2-1 on Saturday. The Saints scored once in each half and finished with a 10-5 advantage in shots.

Marymount went in front in the first half when
Nour Serrou scored at 2:36 for a 1-0 lead. MU continued to create chances later, with
Leonardo Vasquez hitting the woodwork and the team earning two corners around shots by
Joel Claros and
Alex Rendon Benitez, and they carried the 1-0 lead into halftime.
The Saints added to their lead in the 71st minute, with a team goal at 70:17 pushing the score to 2-0. Marymount followed with four shots and a corner from 77:25 to 84:06, including two attempts by
Chad Thrash. Eastern Mennonite answered on Hamidullah Tokhi's penalty kick at 82:22. The Saints finished the second half even on goals, 1-1, and closed out a 2-1 result.
