ASTON, Pa. -- In a thrilling showdown at Bruder Field, Marymount (15-9, 6-3 AEC) edged out Neumann (11-7-1, 5-4 AEC) with a 12-10 victory to win the three-game series, exploiting six errors by Neumann to clinch the win with a decisive four-run eighth inning.

The Saints faced off with Neumann in a high-octane contest, squeaking by with a 12-10 win. The action kicked off in the third inning when
Joshmar Carbonell scored on a throwing error, putting the Saints on the board. Neumann answered swiftly, taking a 3-1 lead with three runs in their half of the inning.
Marymount chipped away in the fifth inning as Carbonell scored again on a
Quincy Via sacrifice fly, narrowing the gap to 6-2. The sixth inning saw Swekosky score on a wild pitch, and Via reached on a fielding mishap, allowing
Gray Ellenburg to cross home, tightening Neumann's lead to 9-4.
The Saints mounted a comeback in the seventh, adding three runs.
Ryan Cuadros scored on a fielder's choice, while Schick and Swekosky capitalized on wild pitches to score, closing the gap to 9-7. Marymount surged ahead in the eighth with a four-run explosion: Via scored on an error,
Anthony Farmakides touched home on a Schick double, and Swekosky tripled before scoring on a wild pitch, pushing the Saints to an 11-9 lead.
In the ninth, Via stole home, extending the lead to 12-9. Neumann managed a late run in their last at-bat, but the Saints held firm. Final score: Marymount 12, Neumann 10.
