HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. -- Marymount (16-9, 7-3) secured a convincing 6 - 1 victory over Centenary University (8-16, 4-3) on Friday to open up the Atlantic East weekend series.
The Saints capitalized with a three-run sixth inning and accumulated 10 hits, including a home run, to clinch the win. Marymount now sits at 16-9 overall on the season, now 7-3 in the AEC.

The Saints secured a 6–1 victory over Centenary with a strong performance in the middle innings. The scoring opened in the fourth when
Evan Schick scored on a single by Sadler, putting the Saints ahead 1-0.
In the fifth,
Tyler Woodring reached base on an error, advancing to third before
Anthony Farmakides drove him in with a single, extending the lead to 2-0.
The Saints expanded their lead in the sixth. Sadler doubled and scored on a single by
Gray Ellenburg.
Joshmar Carbonell doubled, setting up
Quincy Via for a two-RBI double, making it 5-0 through six innings.
In the eighth,
Francis Swekosky hit a solo homer to left center, increasing the lead to 6–0. Centenary responded in the bottom of the eighth when Joseph Frei scored on an error, but the deficit remained substantial.
