ARLINGTON, Va. -- The 2026 Atlantic East Conference Champion Marymount flag football team picked up three AEC Major Awards and placed four on All-Conference Teams, announced by the conference office Tuesday afternoon.

Jesenia Velez earned Atlantic East Offensive Player of the Year, with the coaching staff garnering Coaching Staff of the Year. Velez was joined by Leslie Villegas on the All-Conference First Team, with Alexandria Veltri and Kaylah Barr picking up Second Team laurels.

Cara Vollmer received the Elite Scholar Athlete award, given to the student-athlete with the highest GPA on the Championship site.

Jesenia Velez - Offensive Player of the Year - First Team All-Conference Offensive

Velez nabbed the coveted awards after a stellar first-year campaign.

Rushing for 1,098 yards and 19 touchdowns throughout the season, she added 24 passing touchdowns on 810 yards in the air. Playing multiple roles, she racked up 693 receiving yards and seven touchdowns. 

The two-time ECAC Offensive Player of the Week averaged 49.9 yards per game on the ground through the season.

Leslie Villegas - First Team All-Conference Defensive

Villegas was stout on defense all season, earning her first All-Conference nod. 

She tallied 66 total tackles on the year, with eight tackles for loss, adding a sack. 

In the Atlantic East Conference Tournament, she had 17 total tackles across the semifinal and Championship round.

Alexandria Veltri - Second Team All-Conference Offensive

Veltri was key for the Saints throughout the season as a wide receiver.

She had 28 receptions for 483 yards, notching 14 total touchdowns on the year. 

She had a touchdown in the AEC Championship game against Eastern to help seal the Saints' third-straight title.

Kaylah Barr - Second Team All-Conference Defensive - At-Large

Barr remained one the top defensive weapons for Marymount this season.

Tallying 62 total tackles, she nabbed eight interceptions and broke up 12 passes across the year. 

She returned for 111 yards on interceptions this season.
