TYSONS, Va. -- Marymount (Va.) (22-15, 11-7) secured a decisive victory over Eastern Mennonite University (14-25, 3-17) with a final score of 10–3 at Capital One Park on Saturday. The Saints capitalized on patience at the plate, drawing 14 walks and stealing five bases to gain an advantage.

Eastern Mennonite took an early lead in the first inning when Kyler Rodgers scored on a throwing error, putting them ahead 1–0. The Saints responded in the second inning.
Aiden Simoneau singled, and
Seth Sadler walked, setting up Via's two-RBI double to left field, giving them a 2–1 lead.
In the third inning, Eastern Mennonite tied the game with Daniel McGinnis' triple followed by an RBI single. Jett Cabanban later stole home, making it 3–2. The Saints equalized in their half when
Francis Swekosky scored on
Ryan Cuadros' double, leveling the score at 3–3.
The Saints pushed ahead in the fourth inning.
Gray Ellenburg walked and later scored on Woodring's RBI single, giving them a 4–3 advantage. The lead extended further in the fifth inning with two additional runs. Via walked with the bases loaded, scoring Sadler, followed by Woodring's fielder's choice that brought Ellenburg home, increasing the lead to 6–3.
The Saints widened the gap in the sixth inning. Ellenburg's two-RBI single and
Joshmar Carbonell's sacrifice bunt contributed to a three-run inning, making the score 9–3. In the seventh inning, Via singled and later scored on Cuadros' bases-loaded walk, adding the final run for the Saints, who led 10–3.
Owen Singer pitched five innings, allowing three runs and striking out seven.
Liam Progulske closed the game with seven strikeouts over 2 1/3 innings, securing the Saints' 10–3 victory over Eastern Mennonite.
