MORRISTOWN, N.J. -- Marymount baseball (21-15, 11-7 AEC) split on Friday to finish out their series with Saint Elizabeth (5-27, 1-14 AEC), falling in the first game before winning the rubber match.

Marymount took an early lead against St. Elizabeth, starting in the first inning when
Quincy Via doubled and later stole third base.
Tyler Woodring drove Via in with a double down the left field line, making it 1–0.
In the second, the Saints extended their lead with
Seth Sadler's single and
Aiden Simoneau's fielder's choice setting the stage for
Joshmar Carbonell's two-RBI triple to left center, scoring
Gray Ellenburg and Simoneau. Marymount led 3–0.
The third inning saw
Francis Swekosky double and score on
Ryan Cuadros' RBI single, pushing the score to 4–0. St. Elizabeth answered with Chris Valencia's triple and subsequent score on a wild pitch, cutting the lead to 4–1.
Marymount added another run in the fourth as Via singled, stole second and third, and scored on Woodring's single, bringing the score to 5–1.
St. Elizabeth mounted a comeback in the seventh inning with Harrison Curran and Trevor Policastro hitting consecutive doubles. A pinch runner and several singles, walks, and a hit batter allowed St. Elizabeth to score five runs, overtaking the Saints 6–5.
St. Elizabeth held on to secure a 6–5 victory over Marymount.

The Saints secured a decisive 17-1 victory over St. Elizabeth, powered by a strong offensive performance and solid pitching. In the first inning,
Quincy Via singled and later scored on a single by Swekosky. Schick walked and scored on a sacrifice fly by
Ryan Cuadros, with
Seth Sadler adding another run on a single. The Saints led 3-0 after the first inning.
The third inning saw Swekosky score after a walk, a stolen base, and an RBI single by Cuadros. Ellenburg and
Joshmar Carbonell each contributed RBI singles, extending the lead to 6-0 through three innings.
In the fourth inning, Schick doubled and scored on a wild pitch, making it 7-0. St. Elizabeth responded with a solo home run by Trevor Policastro, bringing the score to 7-1 by the end of the fourth.
The Saints added two more runs in the fifth, with
Aiden Simoneau and Ellenburg both advancing on a wild pitch, allowing Ellenburg to score on another wild pitch. The score stood at 9-1 after the fifth inning.
The sixth inning was highlighted by a two-RBI single from Ellenburg, followed by Carbonell's RBI single and a two-RBI single by Schick, pushing the lead to 14-1.
In the seventh inning,
Tyler Woodring and Swekosky each delivered RBI singles, while Schick's sacrifice fly brought the score to its final 17-1 outcome. Elliot pitched a complete game, allowing just three hits and one earned run, with seven strikeouts.
Final score: Marymount (Va.) 17, St. Elizabeth 1.
