GWYNEDD VALLEY, Pa. — Marymount baseball (16-14, 7-6 AEC) fell to Gwynedd Mercy (16-13, 7-6 AEC) with a final score of 3–2 on Friday at Genuardi Legends Field. A ninth-inning rally by the Saints produced two runs, but it was not enough to overcome Gwynedd Mercy's three-run third inning.

In the third inning, Gwynedd Mercy took control by scoring three runs. Jacob Ruddell walked and advanced to third on Karl Wissman's double. A sacrifice fly by Noah Waldron brought in the first run. Jake Vitale's double to right center scored Wissman, and Charlie Neal's single allowed Vitale to cross the plate, giving Gwynedd Mercy a 3–0 lead through three innings.
The Saints mounted a late comeback attempt in the ninth inning. Swekosky was hit by a pitch, and pinch-runner
Mekhi Motilewa eventually scored on a fielding error. Another pinch runner,
Cole Shabosky, crossed the plate on Alvarez's RBI single. Despite the rally, the Saints fell short, with the final score 3–2 in favor of Gwynedd Mercy.
