ARLINGTON, Va. -- Marymount University women's softball team stayed at home this sunny Tuesday for a chance to add two more wins to the board. The Saints walked away with two wins, one of which came from a five-inning mercy rule win. 

 MARYMOUNT 3 MARY WASHINGTON 1

• Valeria Gutierrez De Oliveira led the way offensively, going 2-for-3 with an RBI and scoring twice, providing a major spark at the top of the lineup.
• Kaylee Atkins delivered a strong performance at the plate, finishing 2-for-3 and consistently putting pressure on the defense.
• Samantha Richtol contributed both at the plate and behind it, recording a double, scoring a run, and throwing out a baserunner while handling the pitching staff.
• Gracie Himmelman showed patience at the top of the order, drawing two walks and reaching base twice to set the tone.
• Haylee Carpenter added discipline at the plate with a walk and was solid defensively with multiple assists and putouts in the infield.
• Grace Gilbert impacted the game with productive outs and reached base via an error, helping extend innings.
• Haley Greer and Samantha Papp each put balls in play to keep pressure on the defense, contributing to key at-bats despite not recording hits.
• Mady Archer helped round out the lineup with steady defensive play in the outfield.
• Bailey Demusz was dominant in the circle, tossing a complete game while allowing just three hits and one run, controlling the game throughout.
• Overall, Marymount combined timely hitting, strong plate discipline, and a standout pitching performance to secure the win.

• Haley Greer delivered in a clutch moment with a double down the line that brought in a run, capitalizing on scoring opportunities.
• Haylee Carpenter added to the offensive production with a base hit and helped keep innings alive with productive at-bats.
• Gracie Himmelman played a key role at the top of the lineup, getting on base and scoring, including being driven in during a key RBI sequence.
• Samantha Papp contributed situationally with a sacrifice bunt to advance runners and also recorded defensive outs in the field.
