ARLINGTON, Va. -- Marymount University women's softball team stayed at home this sunny Tuesday for a chance to add two more wins to the board. The Saints walked away with two wins, one of which came from a five-inning mercy rule win.
MARYMOUNT 3 MARY WASHINGTON 1
- Valeria Gutierrez De Oliveira led the way offensively, going 2-for-3 with an RBI and scoring twice, providing a major spark at the top of the lineup.
- Kaylee Atkins delivered a strong performance at the plate, finishing 2-for-3 and consistently putting pressure on the defense.
- Samantha Richtol contributed both at the plate and behind it, recording a double, scoring a run, and throwing out a baserunner while handling the pitching staff.
