SOFT: Saints Hit 8-0 Conference Record

SCRANTON, Pa. -- Marymount University women's softball team hit the road this sunny Saturday to take on conference opponent, Marywood. The double header led to a pair of wins for the Saints, boosting their conference record to 8-0.

 MARYMOUNT 11 MARYWOOD 2

  • Gracie Himmelman set the tone at the top of the lineup, going 3-for-4 with 2 runs scored and an RBI while adding a stolen base and consistently getting on base in leadoff spots
  • Haylee Carpenter contributed efficiently with a hit, RBI, and two sacrifice bunts, executing small ball and advancing runners in key moments
  • Haley Greer showed great plate discipline with 2 walks, scoring twice, and added strong defense behind the plate with 8 putouts
  • Kaylee Atkins chipped in with a double and a run scored, helping keep innings alive in the middle of the order
  • Samantha Richtol had a standout performance, going 3-for-4 with 2 runs and an RBI, consistently delivering with runners on base
  • Grace Gilbert was a major offensive force, going 3-for-3 with a double, 3 RBIs, and a sacrifice fly, driving in runs in multiple situations
  • Valeria Gutierrez De Oliveira added an RBI on a 1-for-4 day and contributed defensively with multiple putouts in the field
  • Tara Corcoran reached base multiple times, scored a run, stole two bases, and created pressure on the defense with her speed
  • Mady Archer produced a strong outing at the bottom of the lineup, going 2-for-3 with a run, RBI, and a stolen base
  • Bailey Demusz dominated in the circle, throwing a complete game with 8 strikeouts, allowing just 2 runs on 4 hits to secure the win
