FREDERICK, Md. — Marymount men's lacrosse dropped a midweek road contest to Hood College on Wednesday afternoon, falling 7-4 at Thomas Athletic Field. The Saints move to 2-4 on the season following the non-conference match up.
NOTABLE
- William Cate opened the scoring for the Saints in the second quarter to even the game at 1-1.
- James Doss capitalized on a man-up opportunity later in the second quarter, finishing a feed from James Elko to keep Marymount within striking distance.
- Ian Fructuoso added a third-quarter tally for the Saints, firing in an unassisted goal to bring Marymount within one at 4-3.
- Austin Bergey netted Marymount's final goal late in the fourth quarter.
- In the cage, Jacob Brooks turned aside 11 shots, anchoring the Saints' defense throughout the contest.
- Marymount generated 27 shots and picked up 21 ground balls, with Jack Gillespie leading the Saints with five ground balls.
