SALISBURY, Md. -- Marymount baseball (13-8) fell to #9 Salisbury (17-6) with a final tally of 10-2 at Williams Stadium on Tuesday. Despite the loss, the Saints showcased some bright spots with a solo home run and a triple during the matchup.

The Saints faced a tough start as Salisbury came out swinging, scoring four runs in the bottom of the first inning, powered by Trent Waire's grand slam to right center. The score at the close of the first was 4-0, Salisbury.
In the second inning, the Saints seized an opportunity from a throwing error, allowing
Anthony Farmakides to reach base and score on
Seth Sadler's double to left center. Salisbury countered with two runs, including a sacrifice fly by Max Ehrhardt, ending the inning with a 6-1 lead for Salisbury.
Quincy Via delivered a spark for the Saints in the third inning with a solo home run to left center. Salisbury was held at bay, and the score was 6-2 after three innings.
In the fifth inning, Salisbury widened the gap with an RBI single by Trent Waire, making it 7-2.
Salisbury continued to pull away in the sixth, with Nathan Tondreault hitting a two-run homer, followed by a solo shot by Jackson Inman, ending the inning with a 10-2 advantage for Salisbury.
Despite the Saints' efforts to close the gap, the score remained unchanged through the final innings. Salisbury secured a 10-2 victory over the Saints.
