ARLINGTON, Va. -- Marymount flag football first-year
Jesenia Velez picked up the first-ever Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) weekly award in program history on Tuesday, notching Offensive Player of the Week.
Velez had a versatile week, scoring 10 total touchdowns in various ways.
Across four games on Mar. 11, including a trio of wins, the wide receiver passed for three touchdowns and gained 167 yards, rushed for 316 yards and five touchdowns, while receiving a pair of touchdowns and 112 yards.
The Staten Island native currently leads the team in rushing yards, averaging 63.80 a game.
The Saints will hit the field at home this Sunday, hosting Penn State Schuylkill and Eastern in an Atlantic East Conference tri-match starting at 2 PM. The games will be played at Bishop O'Connell Field.
