ARLINGTON, Va. — The Marymount women's lacrosse team erupted for a dominant offensive performance on Tuesday afternoon at Long Bridge Park, rolling past Westminster (Pa.), 19-4. After an early back-and-forth opening, the Saints found their rhythm and unleashed a relentless scoring run to secure their fourth win of the season.Â
HOW IT HAPPENED
Westminster struck first early in the contest, but Marymount answered quickly as Jillian Blair evened the score before Kaylee Heath gave the Saints their first lead on a free-position goal. The Titans briefly tied the game at 2-2 before Marymount began to take control.
Mackenzie Morrissette sparked a run, and Tess Valentino added back-to-back tallies to push the Saints ahead 5-2 by the end of the first quarter.
Marymount continued to build its lead in the second, with Valentino adding another man-up goal before assisting Blair and Carmella Garcia on consecutive scores. Blair capped the half with another goal as the Saints carried a 9-2 advantage into the break.
The Saints stayed in control through the second half as Morrissette and Natalia Ortiz added goals in the third quarter before Marymount erupted again in the fourth. Valentino, Blair, Brooke Bretney, and Adrina Cantarelli all found the back of the cage down the stretch, while Garcia scored to seal the 19-4 win.

- Brooke Bretney, Adrina Cantarelli, and Kaylee Heath each added a goal in the victory.Â
- In goal, Ava Vautour made five saves across nearly 55 minutes of action to earn the win.Â
- Marymount dominated possession throughout the game, winning 18 draw controls and outshooting Westminster 40-19.
