GREENSBORO, N.C. — Marymount men's lacrosse dropped a hard-fought road contest to Greensboro, 11-9, despite controlling several key statistical categories. The Saints outshot the Pride 43-29 and held advantages in ground balls and face offs, but Greensboro's efficiency in cage and timely scoring proved to be the difference.
NOTABLE
- Ian Fructuoso led the Saints' attack with 2 goals and 2 assists, firing a team-high 10 shots and putting seven on cage.
- Santino Rossitto added 2 goals on six shots, continuing to anchor the offense.
- James Elko delivered a strong all-around effort with 1 goal and 3 assists, helping facilitate ball movement in the settled offense.
- Matthew Kurczeski contributed 1 goal and 1 assist, while Kanye Otto, Ben Cooper, and William Cate each found the back of the net.
- Wyatt Labonte earned his first point of the season, tallying one assist in today's match.
- At the stripe, Winston Horshaw II dominated possession, going 13-for-17 on face offs and collecting 9 ground balls, while Ben Cooper had a perfect day going 7-7, picking up 5 ground balls giving Marymount repeated offensive opportunities.
