HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. — The Marymount women's basketball team delivered a strong fourth-quarter performance to secure a 50-45 road win over Centenary on Saturday afternoon at the John M. Reeves Center.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Marymount trailed for much of the afternoon, entering the fourth quarter down 37-30 after struggling offensively in the third period. The Saints responded with increased defensive pressure, forcing turnovers and finding consistency at the free-throw line.The Saints held Centenary to just eight points in the final 10 minutes while converting six free throws down the stretch to seal the win.Â
NOTABLE
- Kaylah Barr led Marymount with 11 points, adding four rebounds and two assists
- Chandler Eddleton finished with 10 points, six rebounds, and four steals
- Cara Vollmer provided a spark off the bench with a team-high 12 points, including two three-pointers
- Catie Kolwey filled the stat sheet with eight points, six rebounds, four steals, and three assists
- Marymount forced 26 turnovers, recording 13 steals as a team
- The Saints shot 46.2% in the fourth quarter and went 20-of-26 from the free-throw line
