ARLINGTON, Va. — Marymount men's lacrosse came out firing on all cylinders Wednesday night at Long Bridge Park, burying Shenandoah, 10-4, behind a relentless offensive surge and dominant possession game. The Saints' six-goal opening quarter proved to be the knockout punch as Marymount improved to 2-2 on the season.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Saints set the tone from the opening faceoff, controlling the X and pushing transition opportunities that led to an early scoring surge. Ian Fructuoso spearheaded the attack, finding seams in the defense and ripping home multiple early strikes as Marymount jumped out to a 6-0 lead after one quarter.
Shenandoah attempted to claw back in the middle quarters, but Marymount's defense held firm, forcing turnovers and limiting clean looks. Timely finishes from William Cate and Braden Miller in the second half halted any momentum swings and sealed the Saints' wire-to-wire victory.Â
