MBB: Saints Hit Double Digit Win Streak

ARLINGTON, Va. -- This Saturday the Saints looked to defend their undefeated conference record with win over Saint Elizabeth University at home. After a hard fought game from both sides, the final score came to 81-64 in favor of the Saints. 


The 81-64 victory gives the Saints a record of 11-7 and push the Saints forward on a 10 game winning streak. 

 NOTABLE

  • Anthoney McClary was tonights point leader with 21 points and also claimed five rebounds.
  • Both Anthoney McClary and Ronier Peters were momentum shifters, each logging two steals. 
  • Brian Poore and Joshua Hughes were defensive units, each tallying one block. 
  • CJ Highsmith Jr. claimed eight rebounds, the teams high. 
  • Marymount started the first half off ahead, claiming a seven point lead in the first five minutes.
  • The gap shrunk, as the first half came to 40-38 in favor of the Saints. 
  • After a great halftime speech, the Saints came out sinking baskets. 
  • In the second half, the Saints took a 20 point lead of 81-61 by the end of the game. 
  • After a three-point shot made by St. Elizabeth's Johnathan Quiles, the final score came to 81-64 for the Saints. 

UP NEXT

  • The Saints stay home to face off against Neumann, a team they beat by one point earlier this season. 
  • That game is set for February 4th at 7:00 PM.
