GWYNEDD VALLEY, Pa. -- Marymount's men's basketball team took to the road this Wednesday evening to go head-to-head with conference opponent, Gwynedd Mercy University. The team looked to defend their undefeated conference record and faced a challenge to do so. After an intense match up and a one-point game, the final score came to 60-59 for the Saints.
The win puts the Saints a 10-7 record overall and an undefeated record in conference play.
NOTABLE
- Anthoney McClary clutched for the Saints, dropping a 21 point game.
- Reuben McEachern claimed the most assists for the team, logging three.
- Joshua Hughes, Anthoney McClary, and James Bell all logged two blocks and played huge defensive roles.
- Joshua Hughes claimed the most rebounds with six, alongside CJ Highsmith Jr. and Ronier Peters.
- Given the score, the two teams went neck-and-neck throughout the entire game.
- In the first half, Marymount did gain up to a ten point lead of 29-19 by a made layup from Joshua Hughes.
- The Saints maintained a lead until the last two minutes of the game, when the score flipped in favor of Gwynedd Mercy and gave the Griffins a 59-58 lead.
- A good tip in by CJ Highsmith Jr. won the game for the Saints, 60-59.

- The Saints continue their AEC face-offs and hope to stay undefeated in their next game against Saint Elizabeth University.
