MBB: Saints Hit Eight Game Winning Streak

ARLINGTON, Va. -- Marymount's men's basketball team battled at home this Friday evening in Converse Family Fieldhouse. Facing off against conference opponent, Marywood, the team looked to defend their undefeated conference record. After an intense matchup, the final score came to 71-47 win for the Saints.

The win puts the Saints a 9-7 record overall and an undefeated 6-0 record in conference play.


NOTABLE 
  • Reuben McEachern was tonight's point leader, finishing with 16 points.
  • Teammate Anthoney McClary dominated offensively as well, logging 15 points and seven rebounds.
  • Anthoney McClary went perfect from the free throw line, shooting 5-5.
  • Brian Poore and Jayden Wiggins both led the team in three pointers.
  • Jerome Lowrey and Reuben McEachern were tonights playmakers, each logging four assists.
  • Marywood took the lead off the bat, gaining a 10-0 lead.
  • This did not last long, with the Saints coming back to close the gap.
  • By the end of the first half, the Saints led 29-19.
  • Coach Rogers gave a great halftime speech, because by the end of the second half the team led by a 24 point spread.

  • The Saints continue their AEC face-offs, seeing Gwynedd Mercy in Gwynedd Valley, Pennsylvania.
  • The tip-off is scheduled for 7:00 PM on January 28rd.
