SUMMERFIELD, Md. -- Marymount's track and field team kept it local this Saturday while competing in the Cardinal Track and Field Classic. This meet is their first of the new year and their second overall. With fierce competition, the Saints ran across the finish line with multiple notable performances.
NOTABLE
- Marymount's Samuel Struggs finished in 9th in the prelims for the Men's 60 Meter Dash with a time of 7.24 as well as 9th in the Men's 200, crossing the finish line at 23.71.
- Marymount's Ta'Sharde Graham, Henry Brys, Liam Galaspie, and Cadyn Johnson came in fourth in the 4x400 relay, finishing with a time of 3:42.00.
- Jordan Tucker claimed sixth in the High Jump after clearing 1.70m.
- Claiming third in triple jump, Xalen Luster went the distance of 12.21m.
- Overall, the men's team finished 9/16.
- On the women's side, Gabrielle Weirsky finished 8th in the Women's 3000 Meter race with a time of 13:18.86.
- Esther Paz finished 10th in the pole vault, clearing 2.45m.

- The Saints stay local for their next meet, the Patriot Games hosted by George Mason.
- This meet takes place over two days and starts on January 30th.
