ARLINGTON, Va. — The Marymount women's basketball team continues to stay in the win column in Atlantic East Conference play, with a dominating win over the Centenary Cyclones Saturday afternoon. The Saints controlled the tempo throughout, shooting efficiently from the floor and dominating inside to improve to 2-0 in conference play.
How It Happened
- The Saints jumped out to an early advantage, leading 16-12 after the opening quarter behind efficient shooting and strong defensive pressure.
- Both teams battled in the second quarter, but Marymount maintained control heading into halftime with a 33-29 lead.
- The Saints continued to attack the paint and force turnovers, extending the lead to double digits heading into the final frame.
Notable
- Kaylah Barr led all scorers with 21 points, adding five free throws in the fourth quarter to help seal the win.
- Right behind her, Catie Kolwey posted a strong all-around performance with 20 points on 10-of-12 shooting, along with eight rebounds, three assists, two blocks, and two steals.
- Chandler Eddleton contributed 16 points, shooting 6-of-9 from the floor while adding four rebounds.
- The Saints scored 50 points in the paint and shot 49.1 percent from the field.
