ARLINGTON, Va. — Marymount women's basketball defended home court Wednesday night, earning a 60-51 Atlantic East Conference win over Neumann University inside the Converse Family Fieldhouse. The victory improves the Saints to 3-0 in conference play as they continue to build momentum in league action.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Marymount set the tone early, opening the game with strong defensive pressure and efficient scoring in the opening quarter and maintained control through the second quarter. Neumann made its push in the third, trimming the deficit but the Saints closed the game with a steady fourth-quarter performance, outscoring the Knights 17-12 over the final frame to secure the nine-point win.
NOTABLE
- Kaylah Barr led all scorers with 18 points, adding 10 rebounds, four assists, and two steals for a double-double performance.
- Catie Kolwey controlled the paint with 16 points and a game-high 13 rebounds, while also contributing three assists, two blocks, and two steals.
- Chandler Eddleton provided a spark off the bench, shooting 6-of-7 from the floor for 14 points.
- Marymount held a 49-37 advantage on the boards and outscored Neumann 34–12 in the paint.
- The Saints capitalized at the free-throw line, going 17-of-26 on the night.
