GREENSBURG, Pa. -- Marymount women's soccer wrapped up its Pittsburgh road trip with a hard-fought 0-0 draw against the University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg on Sunday afternoon. The result moves the Saints to 2-1-1 on the season as they head into another challenging week of non-conference play.

HOW IT HAPPENED

The Saints opened the match on the front foot, pushing numbers forward and immediately testing the Bobcats' back line. Nicole Alvarado and Leila Lajdel each forced early saves, while Arianna Blanco and Eliana Lanzas added pressure with shots on target of their own. Marymount out shot Pitt-Greensburg 7-1 in the first half, but the teams entered halftime still scoreless.

In the second half, the Saints continued to dictate possession and generate chances, finishing the day with a 13-5 advantage in shots and 7-1 edge in shots on goal. Alvarado led the way with three attempts, while Sophia Diggs, Dina Abdeen and Arianna Garcia also chipped in. Despite the offensive push, the Bobcats' goalkeeper turned away every opportunity, keeping the match level.

Defensively, Marymount's back line stayed organized and limited Pitt-Greensburg's opportunities throughout the contest. Goalkeepers Mara Dufour and Sarah Robinson needed just one save to preserve the shutout, as the Saints collected their third clean sheet of the season.
