LATROBE, Pa. -- Marymount women's soccer dropped its first match of the season on Saturday afternoon, falling 3-1 on the road to Saint Vincent College.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The first half was tightly contested, with neither side finding the back of the net. Marymount generated chances off set pieces, earning three corner kicks, but the Bearcats' defense held firm.
After the break, Saint Vincent struck first and then doubled its lead midway through the second half. The Saints answered in the 71st minute when Sophia Diggs fired home a goal to make it 2-1, but the Bearcats added an insurance tally in the 84th minute to secure the 3-1 result.
