Arlington, VA- Marymount claims victory in game one and two of their face off with Marywood University. The score of game one was 8-7 and game two 8-6.
After games twenty-five and twenty-six, the Saints hold a record of 10-16 overall and 2-2 in conference.
GAME ONE: 8-7
- Marymount and Marywood started even in the first inning with no runs scored by either team. Marymount had one hit at the bottom of the first by Kammie Brown who singled to right field.
- The Saints held the Pacers to no hits and no runs in the second, gaining outs from two strikeouts and a fly ball to left field. During the Saints' at bat, Kaylee Atkins hit a single. After an out Jenna Jew singled to center field and advanced Atkins to third. Jew stole second. Ashleigh Mannion walked loading the bases. Leila Hernandez reached first on a fielder's choice that put out Atkins at home and advanced the base runners. Brown singled to bat in Jew for the first run of the game. Three batters were left on base at the end of the at bat.
- Marywood took the lead in the top of the third with three runs. The Saints gained the outs in the field from a pop up to the catcher and two strikeouts. The Saints remained behind at the end of the third with one hit from Kaylynn Johnson but no runs were scored.
- Marywood added one run in the fourth to increase their lead. The outs were gained in the field from a caught foul ball, a strikeout and a caught foul ball to left field. The Saints evened the score in the bottom of the fourth. Mannion singled followed by Hernandez reaching first on a fielding error, putting runners on first and second. Brown walked making the bases loaded. Samantha Cinotti reached first on a fielder's choice that scored Mannion, advanced Brown to second, and put out Hernandes at third. Johnson singled to bat in Brown and Cinotti. This put the Saints and Pacers at 4-4 after the fourth.
- No runs were scored in the fifth inning, keeping the Saints and Pacers tied.
- Marywood took a three-point lead in the top of the sixth. The Saints put out the Pacers with a pop up to second, a foul to the catcher, and a fly ball to left field. The Saints overtook the lead during their at bat in the bottom of the sixth. Hernandez started the at bat with a single to center field. Brown sent Hernandez to second with a single to center field. Cinotti loaded the bases with a single to right field. Johnson brought home Hernandez during her at bat and reached first on a fielder's choice that put out Brown. Cinotti stole third and Johnson stole second. Haley Greer singled to score both Cinotti and Johnson. Tara Corcoran pinch ran for Greer. Atkins was hit by a pitch and Corcoran took a place at second. Hailey Leamer hit a single that batted in Corcoran to earn the winning run. The Pacers were unable to recover in the seventh and the Saints claimed the 8-7 win.
- Notable moments by the Saints: Kammie Brown had three hits during her three at bats. Samantha Cinotti scored two runs for the Saints. Kaylynn Johnson had three RBIs contributed to the Saints runs. Haley Greer led the Saints with eleven put outs. Bailey Demusz earned nine strikeouts in seven innings.
GAME TWO: 8-6
- Marywood struck first in game two, scoring one run in the first inning. The Saints gained the outs from a grounded out to third, a fly ball to right field, and a pop up to second. The Saints had one hit by Cinotti who singled but no runs were scored.
- Marywood continued their lead in the second with an additional three runs scored. The Saints at bat saw one run added with a homerun from Mannion.
- Marymount kept the Pacers from gaining any runs in the third. The put outs in the field came from a double play with outs at second and first and a fly ball to right field. The Saints had no runs in the third.
- The Saints gained three up three down in the field in the fourth inning. The outs were gained from a lined out to shortstop, a grounded out to third, and a strikeout. The score remained 1-4 with no additional runs for the Saints.
- Both the Pacers and Saints continued with no runs in the fifth inning.
- After keeping the Pacers to another scoreless at bat, the Saints broke the hitting slump for both teams with a rally in the sixth. Greer singled before Corcoran stepped in to pinch run. Atkins singled to left field, advancing Corcoran to third. The start of the rally for the Saints began with Corcoran stealing home. Atkins stole third. Leamer was walked followed by Jew getting hit by a pitch, loading the bases. Mannion singled batting in both Atkins and Leamer. Brown singled to left field, moving Mannion to second and Jew to third. Cinotti singled bringing both Jew and Mannion home. Brown advanced to second. Johnson walked. Greer singled, scoring Brown and advancing Cinotti and Johnson. Atkins singled scoring Cinotti for the final run of the game for the Saints.
- The Pacers attempted to rally past the Saints in the seventh but fell just short. The game ended in a 8-6 victory for the Saints.
- Notable moments by the Saints: Ashleigh Mannion led the Saints with two hits, two runs, and three RBIs. Jenna Jew contributed nine put outs to the Saints win. Kaylee Atkins had one strikeout in her seven innings pitching.

- The Saints will play at home on Monday April 7 against Messiah University at Barcroft Park. Game one will take place at 2pm and game two will take place at 4pm.
