Aston, PA- Marymount goes run for run against Neumann University, taking a loss in game one 1-2 and a win in game two 10-9.
After games thirty-one and thirty-two, the Saints hold a record of 13-21 overall and 5-3 in conference.
GAME ONE: 1-2
- The Saints and Knights battled it out in the field for game one, with neither team easily giving up runs. Marymount batted first, gaining one hit from Kammie Brown with a single to third base. No hits were made by the Knights in the bottom of the inning.
- The game remained deadlocked in the next four innings with neither team allowing runners home. The Saints had three hits during the second, fourth, and fifth innings. The hits were earned by Kaylee Atkins with a single to center, Hailey Leamer with a single through the left side, and Samantha Cinotti with a single up the middle.
- Marymount had an additional two hits in the sixth earned by Leamer who hit up the middle and Jenna Jew with a single to shortstop. The Knights were able to bat one run in during the bottom of the sixth to break the tie.
- Marymount responded in the top of the seventh with a double to left center from Kaylynn Johnson to score Cinotti and re-even the game.
- The 1-1 tie continued through the seventh inning to send the game into extra innings.
- Marymount was unable to gain the run needed to win, resulting in the first game being taken by Neumann in the bottom of the eighth 1-2.
- Notable moments by the Saints: Samantha Cinotti earned one hit and one run. Hailey Leamer gained two hits for the Saints. Jenna Jew had six putouts in the field. Bailey Demusz pitched three strikeouts against the Knights.
GAME TWO: 10-9
- The Saints opened the scoring in game two, scoring two runs in the first. Brown walked taking a place on first. Johnson hit a single through the left side sending Brown to second. Haley Greer doubled to left field to score both Brown and Johnson. The Knights followed with four runs to take the lead in the bottom of the inning.
- Neumann extended their lead in the bottom of the second, scoring a fifth run.
- Marymount rallied in the third. Cinotti stepped up first with a single to center and advanced to second on a wild pitch. Johnson walked, placing two on base for Atkins to bat in with a homerun hit down the left field line. Greer continued the rally with a single to left field. Leamer walked, advancing Greer to second. Jew hit a single to left field placing three runners on base. Ashleigh Mannion batted both Greer and Leamer home. Mannion and Jew both advanced on a wild pitch. Leila Hernandez batted in Jew on a grounded out to second. Brown singled up the middle to score Mannion and increase the Saints lead over the Knights 9-5.
- No runs were scored in the fourth by either team, maintaining the Saints lead.
- The Saints scored one final run in the top of the fifth, scored by a sacrifice fly from Johnson to score Brown. Neumann attempted to match Marymount, gaining runs in the bottom of the fifth, sixth, and seventh, but were unable to overtake the lead. Marymount took the victory 10-9.
- Notable moments by the Saints: Kaylee Atkins hit a homerun resulting in three RBIs. Kammie Brown and Kaylynn Johnson each scored two runs in the game. Samantha Cinotti and Haley Greer each earned three hits for the Saints. Jenna Jew putout nine in the field. Emma McCormack pitched four strikeouts against the Knights.

- The Saints continue on the road facing off against Centenary University on Saturday April 26th. The games will take place at 3pm and 5pm in Hackettstown, NJ.
