ARLINGTON, Va. -- Marymount men's lacrosse suffered their first AEC loss in a battle of perfect AEC record teams on Wednesday evening.
Falling to Immaculata by a final score of 10-5, the Saints now 9-5 overall on the season, 3-1 in conference play.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Immaculata got on the board first to start the evening, but the Saints answered with back-to-back goals out of the stick of Gavin Taylorson to take a 2-1, early advantage on the scoreboard.
- The Mighty Macs went on a four goal run to take a three goal lead. Ian Fructuoso cut into the lead with an unassisted goal in the opening minutes of the third quarter.
- Down by four, Bryan Maguire looked to spark life in the Marymount office with his first of the evening at the top of the fourth quarter.
- Immaculata scored three more to put the nail in the coffin, as Taylorson sank one final goal at the one minute mark to end the offense for both teams.
- Grant Gallaway had a caused turnover and three ground balls for the Saints' defense.
- Cameron Glass went 14-19 from the face off with eight ground balls.
- Matthew Davis had 19 saves in the net, a new career high.
