ASTON, Pa. -- Marymount baseball finished up their three-game series with Neumann on Tuesday afternoon, suffering their first loss in Atlantic East play by a final score of 10-8.

With the loss, the Saints are now 18-13 overall, 8-1 in the AEC.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Neumann scored three in the bottom of the first inning to take an early 3-0 advantage.
• Bobby Leitzel answered in the top of the third with a two-run single, scoring Jordan Dickson and Daniel Fernandez.
• Jack McCarthy knotted up the scoreboard with his fourth home run of the season in the top of the third. Fernandez tacked another run across with a successful squeeze to score Ryan Cuadros.
• The Knights tied it up in the bottom of the third, knotting it up at 4-4, but Quincy Via had the answer, blasting a home run to put the Saints back on top in the next frame. Cuadros, later in the frame, drove in Leitzel with an RBI single to put MU up 6-4.
• Neumann plated five runs in the eighth to take a 10-7 lead heading into the final inning.
• Jonathan McMath tried to get things started with a solo blast, but the Saints went quietly after to take the loss.
