Arlington, VA- Marymount delivered against Gwynedd Mercy, sweeping the doubleheader. Game one score was 8-2 and game two score was 17-3.
After games thirty-one and thirty-two, the Saints hold a record of 12-20 overall and 4-2 in conference.
GAME ONE: 8-2
- Marymount set the tone early in game one. After a no hit at bat for the Griffins, the Saints plated three runs in the bottom of the first. Kammie Brown started the Saints' off with a single through the left side. Brown was advanced to second from a SAC bunt from Samantha Cinotti. Kaylynn Johnson reached first on a fielding error that also advanced Brown to third. Haley Greer singled to left field, scoring Brown and advancing Johnson to third. Run two was scored by Johnson on a wild pitch. Greer followed Johnson, taking advantage of a second wild pitch to score a third run in the first.
- The second saw another no hitter fielded by the Saints and an additional three runs scored by Marymount in the bottom of the inning. Amanda Coates walked to first then advanced to second on a fielding error that saw Leila Hernandez to first. Brown singled to center field. Cinotti hit a sacrifice fly to center field to bat in Coates. Hernandez was thrown out at third. Johnson hit a homerun over the left field fence to score herself and Brown.
- No runs were added in the top of the third. Marymount's Kaylee Atkins hit a homerun to center field for run seven for the Saints.
- The Griffins gained their first run in the top of the fourth for a score of 7-1 in the fourth.
- The fifth inning saw one run added to the board for Gwynedd Mercy. Marymount scored run eight when Brown brought in Hernandez with a double to left field.
- Marymount continued to deliver no hitters for the Griffins during the at bat in the top of the sixth. Marymount ended the game in the seventh when Gwynedd Mercy was unable to secure any runs. The game ended 8-2.
- Notable moments by the Saints: Kammie Brown had two runs three hits and one RBI. Kaylynn Johnson and Kaylee Atkins both hit homeruns for the Saints. Haley Greer and Amanda Coates both had six putouts in the field. Bailey Demusz pitched six strikeouts.
GAME TWO: 17-3
- The Saints kept the bats hot in game two. Marymount kept Gwynedd Mercy to no hits in the first before gaining four runs in the bottom of the inning. Cinotti hit a single through the right side before stealing second. Johnson singled to left field and advanced Cinotti to third. Johnson stole second. Greer singled up the middle batting in both Cinotti and Johnson. Atkins kept the bats swinging, hitting a single to center. Hailey Leamer walked loading the bases. A wild pitch saw all runners advancing and Greer scoring the third run. Jew grounded out but gave Atkins the opportunity to score run four.
- The Griffens scored one in the second but could not match the Saints additional three runs scored in the bottom of the inning. Hernandez scored on a fielder's choice. Greer grounded out to second but batted in Brown. Atkins reached first on a fielding error at second that gave Johnson an opportunity to score.
- No hits were gained by Gwynedd Mercy in the third. Marymount rallied again in the third with four additional runs scored. Ashleigh Mannion scored on a wild pitch. Cinotti doubled to left field batting in Brown. Greer singled up the middle to bring home Cinotti. Atkins singled to right field scoring Johnson.
- Gwynedd scored their second run in the top of the fourth. Marymount continued to overpower the Griffins with a final six runs scored in the game. Brown doubled to left field scoring Harley Maire and Sara Emig. Samantha Richtol, Atkins, Leamer and Jenna Jew all single right after each other to bat in Brown, Cinotti, Tara Corcoran, and Richtol. The Griffins were defeated by the Saints in the fifth inning 17-3.
- Notable moments by the Saints: Kammie Brown had three runs, two hits, and two RBIs. Samantha Cinotti gained three runs, two hits, and one RBI. Kaylynn Johnson added three runs, one hit and one RBI to the Saints stats. Haley Greer and Jenna Jew led the defense with five putouts each in the field. Kaylee Atkins pitched five strikeouts.

- The Saints are on the road facing off against the Neumann Knights on Thursday April 17th. The game will take place at 12pm and 2pm in Aston, PA.
