Raleigh, N.C - Marymount softball played their 10th game of the season today, facing off against Ferrum College and University of Lynchburg. The Saints fell to both, with a final score of 1-9 against Ferrum and 3-10 against Lynchburg.

GAME 1, LYNCHBURG: 3-10

• In the third inning, Marymount was on fire.
• Kaylynn Johnson was first to bat and hit a home run. 
• Leila Hernandez reached first on an error and advanced to second, allowing Haley Greer and Ashleigh Mannion to score.
• At the bottom of the third, the Saints had tied up the score 3-3.
• Unable to gain a lead, the score ended in favor in Lynchburg, 3-10.

GAME 2, FERRUM: 1-9

• In the first inning, Samantha Cinotti popped up to 2nd base.
• Kaylynn Johnson was able to follow this and singled to shortstop. 
• Hailey Leamer singled to second base, allowing Kaylynn Johnson to advance to third.
• Marymount ended inning one with two hits and two left on base, unfortunately striking out. 
• By the top of the fifth, the Saints secured their first run. 
• Samantha Cinotti singled to center field and advanced to second on the throw, allowing Kammie Brown to score.
• The softball Saints closed the game out 1-9.

UP NEXT

• The Saints will play a double header at home on Tuesday March 11th against Worcester Polytechnic Institute. The games will take place at 1pm and 3pm at Barcroft Park.
