DAVENPORT, Fla. -- Marymount baseball opened up their play in Florida for Spring Break on on Sunday morning, playing Loras College in a twin-bill.

The Saints dropped both sides of the doubleheader, moving their overall record to 9-4 on the season.

GAME ONE - LORAS 6 - MARYMOUNT 2

• After Parker Casselberry threw a scoreless top of the first, the Saints put one on the board via an RBI single off the bat of Jonathan McMath, scoring Bobby Leitzel.
• After scoreless second through fourth innings, Loras evened up the tally in the top of the fifth.
• The Duhawks scored five more runs through the sixth and seventh innings, putting Marymount up to the plate one final time looking to mount the comeback.
• Jack McCarthy knocked an RBI single to center field to try to get momentum pushed to the Marymount bench, but the Duhawks ultimately closed out with the win in game one.
• Andrew Schaeb and Kevin Knoess each went 2-4 in game one of the day.
• Leitzel, McMath, McCarthy, and Ryan Cuadros each added hits.
• Casselberry struck out five in his 6.2 innings of work.

GAME TWO - LORAS 6 - MARYMOUNT 5

• After a scoreless first from both teams, it was Marymount again getting on the board first after taking advantage of fielding blunders from Loras to take a 1-0 lead.
• McCarthy powered a three-run home run in the top of the third inning to give the Saints a 4-0 cushion.
• The Duhawks pushed across four in the bottom of the third to tie it up.
• McCarthy gave the lead back to the Saints with his fifth RBI of the day in the top of the fifth inning.
• The Duhawks quickly answered with two more in the bottom frame.
• The game remained scoreless through the end, send Loras home with a pair of wins over the Saints.
• McCarthy drove in four runs in game two of the day, going 2-4 with a home run.
• Knoess, Joshmar Carbonell, and William Alvarez each added hits for the Saints.

• The Saints will get back to action again tomorrow in Florida, taking on Washington and Jefferson for a double header starting at 4:15 PM.
