Buena Vista, Va. -- Marymount men's volleyball fell to Southern Virginia University during an away match, ultimately losing 0-3. This was the Saints third conference game, leaving their conference record at 2-1 and overall record at 8-11.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Evan Cao led the Saints in assists, racking up 12. 
• Esteban Jauregu was the only Saint able to secure a serving ace and also led the team in digs (4). 
• Diego Peña and Ethan Li stood out as Marymount's leads for kills, both earning four. 
• In the first set, Marymount took a lead of 3-1, due to multiple attack errors by Southern Virginia.
• The Saints were able to stay neck-in-neck with the Knights until the end of the first set, where Southern Virginia put up six points in a row.
• The first set closed out 25-18.
• In the second set, the Saints were unable to maintain a lead, despite kills by Ethan Li and Evan Cao.
• Set number two ended in favor of the Knights, 25-10.
• Set three ended similarly, with the same 25-10 score. 

• The Saints will host Elizabethtown College for a conference match-up at home on Tuesday, March 18th, at 7:00 PM.
