Stevenson, MD- Marymount takes a loss in game one 3-5, and claims victory in game two 11-2 on the road against Stevenson University.
After games seventeen and eighteen, the Saints hold a record of 6-12.
GAME ONE: 3-5
- As the guest team, the Saints batted first. Leila Hernandez led off with a single. Hernandez attempted to steal second but was tagged out in a play between the pitcher, shortstop, second base, and first base players. The next two batters struck out swinging and flied out to left field. Stevenson scored first sending three runners home in the first inning. The score was 0-3 at the end of the first.
- The top of the second saw three batters for the Saints, first batter up flied out to left field followed by a double down the center by Kaylee Atkins. The next batter lined out to short stop, leading to Atkins being thrown out at third. The Mustangs gained run number four in the bottom of the second, furthering their lead against Marymount. The outs earned by the Saints in the field came from two strike outs from the circle and a line out caught at short stop.
- During their next at bat, the Saints were three up and three down with no hits. Marymount prevented any additional runs or hits from the Mustangs in the bottom of the third. The outs were gained in the field from a ground out to second, a fielder's choice out at second, and a pop up caught at first.
- In the top of the fourth, Marymount started the at bat with an out grounded to third. Kammie Brown earned the first hit of the inning with a single to left field, where Brown capitalized on an error in left field to advance to second. Samantha Cinotti took a hit from a pitch to gain a place on first, followed by Kaylynn Johnson who was walked by the circle. Atkins singled earning the first run for the Saints by batting in Brown. During the play Johnson was thrown out at second. The third out came from a pop up to second, ending the at bat for the Saints. No runs were added for Stevenson in the fourth. The outs were earned in the field from a grounded out to third, a strike out from the circle, and a fly out to center field.
- The fifth inning at bat for the Saints saw three up three down with no hits and no runs earned. The Saints returned the favor giving no hits and no runs to the Mustangs, earning the outs in the field from a foul out behind the plate, a fly out to center field, and a ground out to the circle.
- The Saints go without runs or hits in the sixth. Marymount denied Stevenson's attempts to further their lead, putting out batters with a strike out from the circle, a ground out to first, and a second strike out from the circle.
- To end the game, the Saints started the seventh with a double to left field by Johnson. Ashleigh Mannion was hit by a pitch and sent to first. Hailey Leamer singled to center field advancing Mannion to second and sending Johnson home for run two for Marymount. Samantha Papp hit for Jenna Jew singling to right field. The hit resulted in a run batted in scoring Mannion. The Saints were unable to even the score ending in a loss for the Saints.
- Notable moments by the Saints: Kaylee Atkins earned two hits for Marymount. Kammie Brown, Kaylynn Johnson, and Ashleigh Mannion each claimed one run for the Saints. Haley Greer led in Put outs during the game, with eight outs earned. Bailey Demusz pitched all six innings for the Saints in the circle, earning five strikeouts.
GAME TWO: 11-2
- First inning at bat for the Saints was a quick transition to defense with three up three down. Marymount prevented a repeat of game one by refusing the scoring opportunities for the Mustangs. The Put outs were gained from a ground out to short stop, a line out to third base, and a second ground out to short stop.
- The Saints scored first, earning the first run of the game in the second inning. Atkins was walked to start the at bat, gaining a place on base. Leamer was put out at first but advanced Atkins to second. After a strike out, Greer singled to center field to bat in Atkins. The Saints continued refusing scoring attempts made by the Mustangs, keeping the score 1-0 at the end of the second.
- Marymount continued in the lead to start the third at bat. Hernandez was walked starting off on base. Brown grounded out to the pitcher but aided in the advancement of Hernandez to third. With Hernandez in scoring position, Cinotti grounded out to first allowing for Hernandez to run home. Johnson kept the bats swinging with a triple to right field. Atkins followed with a single to left that scored Johnson. Leamer added a hit with a single to center field. The at bat ended with Leamer and Atkins left on base. The Saints contained Stevenson to one hit and no runs in the third to maintain their 3-0 lead.
- Starting the at bat, Greer was walked by the pitcher. After a pitcher change for the Mustangs and Tara Corcoran to pinch run for Greer, the Saints continued the at bat. The next hit came from Brown who singled to left field and scored Corcoran. Next Cinotti singled to right field and advanced Brown to second. Johnson followed doubling to center field and batting in both Brown and Cinotti. Batting in a final run in the fourth, Atkins doubled to center field to score Johnson. Stevenson responded with their first runs of the game, ending the shutout with two runs. The fourth ended with a score of 7-2
- The Saints had one hit by Greer who singled to left field, and no runs. Stevenson also had one hit and no runs in the fifth. The Put outs in the field were earned by the Saints on a fielder's choice out at second, a fly out to left field, and a fielder's choice out at third.
- The sixth at bat for the Saints started with a single from Brown to left field. Cinotti batted next, reaching first on a fielder's choice that put out Brown at second. Cinotti stole second to move into a scoring position. Johnson hit a double to center field to bat in Cinotti. Next up Atkins singled to left field, advancing Johnson to third. Leamer batted in both Johnson and Atkins with a double to center field. After a pop up resulting in an out, Greer's at bat scored Leamer and gained Greer a place at first from an error in left field. One runner was left on base at the end of the at bat. The Mustangs were unable to gain any additional hits or runs, ending the game with a score of 11-2 and a win for the Saints.
- Notable moments by the Saints: Kaylynn Johnson was a triple threat, leading the Saints with three hits, three runs, and three RBIs. Samantha Papp earned eight put outs for Marymount. Kaylee Atkins had four strikeouts from the circle. Â

- The Saints will return home on Saturday March 29th for a doubleheader against Immaculata. The games will have start times of 1pm and 3pm and be played at Barcroft Park.
