TYSONS, Va. -- Marymount baseball continued their winning ways on Saturday, shutting out St. Mary's College of Maryland on the mound, while pushing across the needed runs, to win 5-0.
The Saints now sit at 7-1 on the season as they continue their early-season trek.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Jordan Dickson got the Saints on the board first in the bottom of the second, laying down a perfect bunt to score Andrew Schaeb.
- Quincy Via singled through the left side in the same frame to drive in the second run of the inning to give Marymount an early 2-0 lead.
- Schaeb knocked a sacrifice fly in the bottom of the third to extend the Marymount lead.
- The Saints scored twice more in the bottom of the fourth to give them their ending 5-0 lead.
- Parker Casselberry earned his third win of the season on the mound, going 6.0 innings without allowing an earned run, striking out six.
- Owen Mead threw 2.0 innings of scoreless relief, striking out a pair.
- Michael Arce finished out the game with a scoreless ninth on the mound.

- Marymount will hit the diamond again tomorrow at Capital One Park, taking on Catholic, who is receiving vote on the national poll, at 2 PM.
