ARLINGTON, Va. -- In a packed Converse Family Fieldhouse, the Marymount men's basketball team delivered a 102-point win in front of a home crowd to push the team into the AEC championship final.
With the semi-final win, the Saints finish the regular season 17-9 overall and 9-3 in the AEC.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- With so much on the line, the Saints came to dominate.
- Marcus Stubbs was the Saint that earned the most points and steal, earning 20 points and two steals in the semi-final matchup.
- Muhsin Muhammad dominated with the most rebounds, claiming 6.
- Overall Marymount claimed 40 points in the pains and 40 bench points.
- In the first half, the Saints and Griffins were neck-and-neck for the majority until the final two minutes.
- With two minutes remaining, the Saints pushed for their first big lead.
- A three-point shot by Jase Mosley gave Marymount an eight-point lead, their biggest of the night.
- Two free throws by Isaac Harris closed out the first half 52-42.
- The Saints continued to show up in the second half.
- A three-point dime by Marcus Stubbs gave Marymount their biggest lead of the night, with the Saints now jumping 13 points ahead.
- With three minutes remaining in the second half, Marymount sat comfortably at a 14-point lead.
- A double-digit lead was kept from this point forward.
- The Saints finished the match up with a 16-point win over after two free throws made by Isaac Harris.
- The final score was Saints- 102 and G. Mercy-86.
