ARLINGTON, Va. -- Marymount women's soccer opened Atlantic East Conference play in strong fashion on Saturday afternoon, defeating Pratt 3-1 at Long Bridge Park. The Saints are 1-0 in conference play.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Pratt opened the scoring in the 15th minute to take a 1-0 lead. The Saints answered quickly as Hannah Driscoll, coming off the bench, scored the equalizer within seconds of entering the match on a setup from Nicole Alvarado in the 20th minute. Just five minutes later, Alvarado delivered again, assisting Arianna Garcia to put Marymount ahead 2-1.
The first-half surge continued in the 31st minute when Eliana Lanzas connected with Olivia Krowicki, whose header found the back of the net to make it 3-1. From there, the Saints controlled possession, piling up 13 second-half shots while holding Pratt without an attempt. Strong midfield play and a steady back line secured the win as Marymount opened conference play with three points.
