MSOC: Saints Fall to Marywood on the Road

DUNMORE, Pa. -- The Saints were on the road this Saturday for a conference face-off against Marywood. The match resulted in a 3-1 loss for the team.

The loss gives the Saints a record of 7-5-4 overall and a conference record of 3-1-1. 

NOTABLE

  • Erick Shoetter-Rojas scored the Saints only goal off of a penalty kick goal in the 22nd minuet.
  • Despite not finding the back of the net, the Saints took double the amount of shots than their opponent, rattling off 23 shots with eight on target. 
  • Forward Jefferson Lopez Coreas was the team leader in shot attempts, reaching the double digits of 10 total shots. 
  • Goal scorer Erick Shoetter-Rojas rattled off seven shot attempts with three on target. 
  • Saint keeper Bayron Benegas had three saves. 

UP NEXT

  • The Saints will steer away from conference play for their next game, with a face-off against University of Mary Washington this coming Wednesday. 
  • Kickoff will be at 5:00 PM and it is the team's SYC Soccer Night.
