HADDONFIELD, N.J. -- Five Saints earn weekly awards, announced by the conference office on Monday afternoon.Â
Arianna Blanco - Women's Soccer Player of the Week
First-year midfielder Arianna Blanco earns Women's Soccer Player of the Week honors following a standout performance across two conference victories. Blanco totaled two goals and two assists on the week, playing a pivotal role in the Saints' offensive success. The first-year finished the week with eight shots with four on goal and continues to be a driving force in Marymount's attack as the Saints remain unbeaten in conference play.
Mara Dufour - Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week
Sophomore goalkeeper Mara Dufour earns Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week honors after posting back-to-back shutouts for the Saints. Dufour anchored the Marymount defense in a 2-0 win over Immaculata and followed it up with another clean sheet against Gwynedd Mercy. Across both matches, she totaled five saves in 180 minutes of play, maintaining composure in goal and helping the Saints extend their unbeaten streak in conference action.
Bayron Banegas - Men's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week
Senior goalkeeper Bayron Banegas was named the Men's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week after a dominant stretch in goal for the Saints. The senior goalkeeper recorded back-to-back shutouts against Immaculata and Gwynedd Mercy helping Marymount move to 2-0-1 in conference play. Banegas tallied four total saves across the two matches and made history on Senior Day by earning his 16th career shutout, setting a new Marymount program record for career clean sheets. His composure in the net continues to anchor a Saints defense that has now posted three straight shutouts in conference play.
Eshan Degamwar - Men's Tennis Player of the Week
Eshan Degamwar was named the Men's Tennis Player of the Week after leading the Saints to a dominant 6-1 victory over St. Mary College of Maryland. Degamwar earned wins in both singles and doubles play, taking the No. 1 doubles match 6-1 before playing a hard-fought victory at No. 1 singles. His consistent play at the top of the lineup helped propel Marymount to a strong road win as fall competition continues.Â
Ava Humphries - Women's Volleyball Specialty Player of the Week
Ava Humphries earned the Women's Volleyball Specialty Player of the Week honors following a strong defensive showing in a two-match weekend for the Saints. The junior libero anchored the Marymount back line with a combined 37 digs averaging nearly 6.2 per set, while also adding three assists and an ace. Her steady presence helped the Saints secure a 3-0 sweep over Centenary before battling FDU-Florham in a non-conference match up.
