WASHINGTON, D.C. -- The Saints opened up their weekend down the road at the Worthington Classic, hosted by Gallaudet University on Friday evening.
Playing a pair of matches, MU fell in both contests to move their record to 2-13 on the season, with chances to bounce back tomorrow.
BETHEL 3 - MU 0
NOTABLE
- Sophomore Harper Wolf continued her hot streak, leading the offense for the Saints in the opening match with 13 kills, hitting .205, adding eight digs and two blocks.
- Maya Harris put down eight kills with two digs.
- Elizabeth Stackpole shot down four block assists in the loss with a pair of kills.
- Ava Humphries dug out 12 digs, with Eliza Freeman notching 11.
- Natalie Bialecki put up 30 assists in the first match of the evening.
CATHOLIC 3 - MU 1
NOTABLE
- Wolf again led the offensive charge for the Saints, powering 15 kills in the nightcap with three total blocks and two digs, good for 17.0 total points.
- Emily Genau and Sabrina Schoeberlein each notched seven kills in the Pope's Cup matchup.
- Humphries (15) and Freeman (14) were again the leaders in the digs department for the Saints.
- Bialecki had 38 assists.
- Harris added eight kills on her line for the day.
UP NEXT
- The Saints will round out their stint at the Worthington Classic tomorrow.
- They will play host school Gallaudet first at 11 AM, looking to bounce back from their loss earlier in the season.
- MU will finish play against Lynchburg at 1 PM before taking the short bus trip home.
