Long Bridge Park/Arlington, VA–Marymount and St. Mary's were on equal footing in today's game, but Marymount was unable to secure a goal against the Seahawks losing the game with a 0-1 score.
This brings the Saints' record to 1-6-2.
NOTABLE
- Tonic, Marissa had the only shot on goal for the Saints with a strong attempt at the top right corner of the goal that was saved by the Seahawks keeper. Tonic's attempt was taken during the 66th minute of the second half.
- Harkins, Breanna lead with goal attempts for the Saints with 4 shots that were just off target. Harkins attempts were made during the 1st, 5th, 63rd, and 72nd minutes of the game.
- Mockenhaupt, Hannah kept the Saints in the game with 4 saves. Mockenhaupt denied 4 goal attempts in the game, restricting the Seahawks to 1 goal.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Saints began the game with an aggressive push in the offense with two goal attempts by Harkins and a goal attempt by Morris, Minnie in the first 10 minutes of the game.
- The Seahawks were able to sneak a goal in during a set play in the 12th minute of the game which broke up the Saints' offensive stance during the beginning of the game.
- The Marymount defense was able to keep St. Mary's from increasing the lead beyond the one goal and gave the offense a chance to keep the Saints in the game.
- The Saints were unable to follow through on goal attempts despite the consistent control of possession that the Saint's were able to match with the Seahawks.
- This ended the game in a Seahawks win with a score of 0-1.

- Marymount will be on the road for the next several games with the next game being played against Delaware Valley University on Saturday Sept. 28th in Doylestown, Pa. at 5pm.
