READING, Pa. -- Marymount men's soccer picked up a much-needed road win over Penn State-Berks on Monday night, 7-1. 

HOW IT HAPPENED

• After surrendering the first goal of the game, Marymount responded with five goals over a 22-minute span to close out the first half with a 5-1 advantage. 
• The Saints scored twice more in the second half to finish up with a 7-1 victory. 
• The Saints placed 20 of 27 shots on target in the game. 
• Leonardo Torres and Matthew Guzman-Veizaga both scored twice to lead the Saints. 
• Chad Thrash and Francisco Rodriguez both tallied their first career goals in the contest. 
• Erick Shoetter-Rojas rounded out the goal-scorers for Marymount. 
• MU held a 9-1 advantage in corner kicks and only surrendered three shot attempts. 

UP NEXT

• Marymount will begin Atlantic East action this weekend, heading to Gwynedd Mercy to take on the Griffins on Saturday, Sept. 28 at 3 PM.
• MU will then return home Monday, Sept. 30 to take on neighboring Gallaudet.
