GWYNEDD VALLEY, Pa. -- Marymount men's soccer opened up Atlantic East Conference action on Saturday afternoon, overpowering the Griffins of Gwynedd Mercy with a final tally of 5-0.
With the dominant, shutout win, the Saints improve to 5-3-3 overall, now sitting 1-0 in AEC action.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Guevara picked the perfect time to grab his second goal of the season, shooting it past the Griffins' goalkeeper in the 24th minute to give the Saints an early 1-0 advantage.
- Shoetter-Rojas tacked onto the Saints' lead in the 32nd minute, giving the Saints a comfortable two-goal lead.
- Collantes Gasco picked up his first collegiate goal in the 35th minute to keep the offensive momentum going for MU.
- Lopez Correas pushed one more in the net off a pass from Brian Alegria to finish out the first half and send the Saints into halftime with a commanding 4-0 lead.
- Daniel Yi found Torres in the opening minutes of the second half to give the Saints their final goal of the afternoon.

- The Saints will be back at Long Bridge Park on Monday, Sept. 30, taking on Gallaudet at 7 PM on their home pitch.
